About
Welcome to Crafthouse, a hidden gem nestled in the bustling Fo Tan area of Hong Kong. Located at Wah Lai Industrial Centre, this charming eatery offers a delightful culinary experience that is distinctly crafted with passion and precision. The moment you step inside, you're greeted not only by an inviting atmosphere but also a view that beckons relaxation, making it the perfect spot for a calming meal away from the city's hustle.
The highlight of Crafthouse is undoubtedly its emphasis on food that balances quality and value. Many patrons rave about the attention to detail in every dish. One customer noted how the food exudes a sense of care, mentioning that the dishes are "refined" and a great comparison in terms of quality vs. price, particularly at just $76 plus one. It’s clear that Crafthouse has mastered the art of balancing flavors while keeping the focus on freshness and texture.
What truly sets Crafthouse apart is its innovative menu, featuring a variety of unique dishes. From the scrumptious truffle cream udon to the aromatic laksa ramen, every item seems to showcase a harmonious blend of taste. One review highlighted the delightful crunch of the garlic sprouts and the perfectly pan-seared salmon, enhanced by the subtle touch of avocado and fragrant herbs. Even the seemingly simple cold pasta salad impressed diners, with one saying it sidestepped the common pitfalls of being too dry or bland.
The soups at Crafthouse also deserve a special mention. Diners expressed their satisfaction with the generous portions of hearty soups, such as the beetroot soup and the lovingly crafted borscht, which strikes a perfect balance with added lemon for a zingy lift. It's clear that every bowl served is made not just to fill but to delight.
While the culinary offerings receive high praise, there are a couple of critiques regarding the coffee—some guests found it lacking in strength, particularly those who prefer a bolder flavor. However, this seems a minor setback compared to the overall dining experience.
The service at Crafthouse has been described as friendly and helpful, though some reviews do suggest that the limited staff can mean a wait for requests. Despite this, the consensus is that the quality of food and the inviting ambiance more than make up for any minor service lapses.
In summary, Crafthouse is a culinary oasis where food lovers can indulge in exquisite, thoughtfully prepared dishes without breaking the bank. With its pleasant environment, varied menu, and strong emphasis on quality, it truly embodies the art of fine dining reimagined for the everyday person. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure not to miss this exceptional dining destination!
“ Crafthouse Is a hidden gem in Fo Tan area, both food and atmosphere here is nice, but service can be improved. Visited here for lunch, reservation is recommended as it's nearly full. Their environment is nice as the window seat with a relaxing hill view. Food here is great, and they offer a wide range of dishes. The staff here is very limited, it's hard to ask for any service. Price is reasonable and relatively cheap with this quality ”
“ It was my second visit and it was as good as my first. Highly recommended! Spacious and clean. Food is unexpectedly delicious. ”
“ Visited there on Saturday, not many people. Service is good, the staff is helpful. Food is delicious, a variety of food, tried the truffle cream udon, laksa ramen and omelette rice. Reasonably price ”
“ Before visiting a friend, we 6 people ate there for lunch. Taste okay. Environment okay. Service so so as you need to go to the cashier to place the order and pay first before eating. We ordered 6 dishes and I just photoed 3 of them. They are rice in eggs with burger steak, deep fried oysters with noodles and deep fried chicken in curry sauce. My one is the last one and it is good. The chicken is not dry but not too juicy as well. Curry sauce is not enough to mix with the rice. Fried potatoes in curry sauce are unexpectedly good. So, overall okay. The other 2 dishes are okay. Environment wide, the chair is okay. Setting with classic lighting, traditional clock and fan on top. Tables are all in wood. But the location is far from the train station. It is a little bit inconvenient. Also, the restaurant is in the office building 4/F, it is not easy to get there... Service from the waitress / waiter is fine but we need to pay before eating is not very ideal. But as this is a restaurant for the office people, so at the time we eat here in the non-office hour, it is enjoyable. ”
“ Lovely place. Excellent service, food was ok like the hearty kind, and not ok salty. I guess the only thing I didn’t like was the table- it’s dark and kind of upsetting to look at. if it was the natural colours the place would be so cozy. ”
